It's cool, daddy-o

Pianist Scott Bradlee teamed up with sax man Dave Koz to record a Smooth jazz version of the Game of Thrones theme song and as you can hear above, it kinda rules the 7 realms. Dave Koz and I go WAY back. When I played saxophone in middle school and high school band, Koz was my favorite sax player to look up to (I was a member of his fan club and may have stalked him a bit at an in-store appearance). I’ve been a big fan ever since … so it’s great to see that...

In anticipation for the premiere of Game Of Thrones season four, which is happening right this second, American musician, composer and viral video maker Scott Bradlee and his Postmodern Jukebox have released a cover version of the HBO series’ theme song, colouring it with a distinctively smooth, jazz tinge.

Bradlee and the Postmodern Jukebox have become an internet sensation, known for putting their trademark stamp on an array of pop records and giving a throwback, nostalgic makeover to tunes by varied artists including Psy, Beyonce and even Guns ‘N’ Roses.

If Beyonce lived in the Roaring Twenties, you'd be drinking all of your bathtub gin to this tune. YouTube cover band Scott Bradlee and Post Modern Jukebox created a swing-inspired rendition of Beyoncé's "Drunk in Love." The band has racked up fans with their knack for transforming pop songs into other genres, such as bluegrass, swing and doo-wop. The jazzy cover is barely recognizable from the original, and Jay Z's rap has been replaced with solos from the brass and woodwind instruments that accompany the piano, drums and pristine vocals in the tune. This is probably how Beyoncé would react to...

In case you’re not completely over all of the Beyoncé covers, here's one that involves time travel. Pianist and arranger Scott Bradlee and the perfectly-named Postmodern Jukebox take Beyoncé's "Drunk in Love" and add a sepia filter to it. Gatti’s vocals are reminiscent of the late Amy Winehouse, who was also...
